Paid and fundamental features
The promise of technology is to make things easier and Google Workspace for Education has more tools than ever to help teachers streamline their workload and reclaim their time. Take a look at these lesser known features with a big impact and maximise all that Google has to offer.
ESIGNATURES
For Education Plus users.
Clear communication between students, parents and schools is crucial to a well-functioning system, but sometimes it feels like the emails and information sheets are sent off into the void. With eSignature, you can create documents for signatures and send signature requests in Google Docs and Google Drive. To complete eSignature requests, signers can easily fill in requested information and you can track who has seen what. With the ability to request multiple signatures per document you can keep everyone in the loop and on the same page.

Use eSignatures to streamline parent communication by
requesting signatures from parents and students for important deadlines and class information.
Eliminate the struggle of getting paper permission slips to and from school with an easier, digital workflow.
Experiment with eSignatures as a classroom tool by requesting signatures for personalised playlists, group projects or at various stages of ongoing work. Students can even request your signature when they're ready for some feedback.
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULES
For all Workspace for Education users.

Google Calendar appointment slots are fully transitioning to appointment schedules and with this comes a smoother booking experience and more powerful features. You can easily create customised booking pages so anyone can book appointments with you using any email address. Booking pages are updated based on your Google Calendar to keep everything organised and confirmations and appointment reminders are automated, meaning fewer things you need to do to keep your schedule on track.
This is a seamless way to run parent-teacher conferences, office hours, and more.
Try using appointment schedules to let students take the lead in requesting 1:1 support or feedback sessions.
CLASSROOM TEMPLATES
For Education Plus users.
Simplify lesson planning with shareable class templates and classwork with this new feature in Google Classroom.

Previously, curriculum leaders and educators had to add permanent co-teachers in order to share or distribute curricula, but now you can easily distribute standardised curricula or classroom content to others in your organisation. As a result, fellow educators can preview, select, and import high-quality classwork into their classes.
Departments and grade level teams can preview and import classwork from one another. This makes it easy to share planning responsibilities by class or unit.
Curriculum leads can curate a class of best practices and resources to give teachers a jumpstart on planning.
CONVERT FORMS TO PRACTICE SETS
Education Plus and the Teaching and Learning Upgrade users.

Practice sets are a powerful way for students to interact and engage with class content. With real-time feedback, hints, and suggested resources that support just-in-time learning, individualising the student experience has never been easier.
Now you can save even more time by importing the Google Forms you’ve already created into practice set questions and take advantage of this new tool without recreating your resources.
When creating a practice set, simply choose the import option and select a Google Form from your Drive.
